The finals of the domestic Cricket tournament Ranji Trophy, is slated to start on 12th Jan 2009 at Hyderabad. This promises to be an engaging game of Cricket as, nothing can be taken for granted, in cricket.
UP is a very strong team, has been the winner of the trophy 2 seasons ago under the leadership of the same, the never-say-die, Mohd. Kaif.
Mohd Kaif, the captain of UP, has a very strong horoscope with Uranus in deep exaltation in the ascendant. No wonder, that he had been a consistent performer for the national team, having played more than 100 ODIs. His exalted Uranus also enabled him to win the Junior World Cup in 1999, as a Captain. He also played an unforgettable innings in the famous Natwest trophy victory in 2002. Very recently he was also the most expensive player for the victorious Rajasthan Royals team.
Wasim Jaffer, on the other hand, has been very consistent in domestic tournaments and has been in and out of the national test team. Wasim, in his horoscope has asteroids Ceres and Pholus very strongly placed. Astrologically, he is destined to lead a team to victory in a major tournament. With his place in the ODI team or the Twenty20 team under serious doubts, the only tournament where he can captain a side to victory can be a domestic tournament. This time around, with Mumbai team in full strength and with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma and Zaheer Khan in the ranks, this could be the last opportunity for Wasim to do just the same.
Hence, in the final analysis, the verdict is that Mohd Kaif has lived out the promises of his exalted Uranus, but Wasim Jaffer is yet to complete his Karmic dues towards Ceres and Pholus and hence Wasim Jaffer led Mumbai team has better chances of winning this Ranji Trophy final
